Slater, Tenaglia, Fritz & Hunt offers clients a national pre-legal service in addition to litigation services in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania to collect on delinquent receivables. The Firm also manages a network of local counsel throughout the United States enabling it to litigate accounts and domesticate foreign judgments in every state in the country on behalf of creditor clients.
Pre-litigation Services
The Firm’s pre-litigation collection service is a highly automated collection process that combines a demand letter series with targeted collection calls from experienced attorneys and a team of sixteen non-attorney collectors. The Firm’s pre-litigation service emphasizes immediate payment from delinquent debtors. The Firm’s clients recognize a high percentage of debt recovery, while saving the time and expense associated with litigation. Customized reporting provides automated status reports on the status of every account.
Litigation Services
The Firm litigates cases in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania State and Federal courts. Each attorney in the Firm is an experienced litigation practitioner. Through the use of a proprietary collection process, the Firm’s attorneys and non-attorney professionals contact account debtor and their counsel at each stage of the litigation process in an attempt to recover the amount due and owing creditor clients.
Receivership, Liquidations, Pre-Judgment Liens
Clients rely on the Firm’s experience and expertise to legally repossess goods, secure assets and recover monies from insolvent debtors. Aggressive and decisive legal action is critical in the recovery of goods and preservation of an asset for liquidation, particularly, during tough economic times. The Firm’s attorneys advise clients on their legal rights and remedies to repossess assets, attach goods pre-judgment and petition the Court for insolvent debtor corporations to be placed into statutory receivership in order to secure and preserve assets.
Judgment Enforcement
Through advanced technology and a department dedicated to judgment enforcement, the Firm’s clients recognize a high percentage of debt recovery post-judgment. Effective and timely asset location provide the Firm’s attorneys with the ability to levy and liquidate judgment debtor assets to satisfy client judgments. The Firm’s national network of collection attorneys and outside investigators allow post-judgment recovery in more complex cases, where judgment debtors attempt to evade creditors through the fraudulent transfer of assets.
Consulting Services
The Firm leverages its collection and litigation expertise to review, modify and draft client credit applications, agreements and transactional documents. We partner with our creditor clients to provide training throughout the year for collection staff and paralegals responsible for offering testimony at trial in support of collection litigation matters.
